Manager, Application Support - MITS

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Program Manager, Health Managed IT Solutions, the Site Application Manager will achieve quality results at the assigned site. The role will provide:
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in leading workshops and meetings that may include users and customer leadership Manage to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and reporting on SLA performance Manage staffing issues and escalate where necessary Provide customer specific status reports and metrics Prepare and conduct peer and second level presentations and training Write for different audiences to influence technical and business issues Communicate both horizontally and vertically within the business unit Organize ideas for logical presentation and acceptance Assist in determining the appropriate level of detail based on the audience and the need Strong eliciting customer requirements, defining limits to project scope, and developing contract documentation preferred Meet project deliverable/timeframes Identify and recommend areas for system improvements Proactively identify alternate opportunities to provide services and communicate them to Practice leadership Develop & document consulting methodologies & best practices

Education and Minimum Experience Minimum 3 + years leading an application support team Minimum 3 + years of healthcare and implementation combined experience College degree or healthcare related field experience preferred
Experience working in billing office, coding expert, and/or patient account management (or)

Experience working in outpatient medical office, HOD, or physician practice responsible for scheduling of patient appointment and management of physician schedules (or) Experience working in central registration area for inpatient and/or outpatient facilities (or) Experience working in surgical scheduling office responsible for scheduling and collection of patient data for surgeries (or) Experience working in healthcare information technology responsible for implementations, upgrades, strategy, and managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), managing to customer's change management processes and procedures
Exposure to healthcare revenue cycle, including: insurance, guarantor accounts, admissions and discharge procedures preferred Detail oriented Exceptional skills in Microsoft applications and in procedural documentation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Make every effort to not only meet but also preempt customer needs Display strong situational analysis, problem solving and decision making skills Demonstrated communication and change management skills Demonstrated presentation/public speaking skills presentations to clients required Good management/supervisory skills required
Travel Requirements
100% with exceptions based on client requests.
Freedom to Act
Work is performed without appreciable direction. Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans, schedules, and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives in an unsupervised and unstructured environment. Teams include both client staff and Leidos Health Consultants.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
