dba IMMI seeks a Senior Program Manager in Westfield, Indiana to oversee and coordinate multiple engineering projects, products, and strategic initiatives; to review engineering objectives and motivate the engineering team to create, apply, and improve components and systems to gain optimum satisfaction, safety, and quality for the end user; to lead in creating and maintaining quality deliverables and action-oriented projects for achieving desired growth in accordance with company goals and objectives; to lead in cross-functional teams to design and implement engineering programs and projects including but not limited to developing new components and systems, enhancing existing ones, and innovating specific engineer specificities to attain customer's needs; to lead in maintaining quality deliverables in engineering projects, products, and initiatives to meet the IMMI's standards, goals, and objectives; to design and define engineering program milestones and operate as a resource and subject matter expert on providing guidance along each development process; to oversee the timely sequencing of program prototypes, product designs, reports, presentations, and the identification of key characteristics and quality control plans through the exemplification of a positive work ethic and leadership; to coordinate and assist in operations, manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, and purchasing and planning functions to assure timely reviews and deliverables; to organize projects and maintain proper and effective records of timeline and analysis to suggest improvements during product development processes; to establish and define core engineering team members and program stakeholders, hold recurring reviews and touchpoints for aligning goals and creating next step actions; to provide and present updated data and program status to IMMI leadership; to represent the company to the public, industry, and government in such a manner which enhances the reputation of the company and present positivity, and as an exemplary face of IMMI's mission and values.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or related field.
5 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite which must include Microsoft Project and Teams.
5 years of experience in occupant restraint products development which must include seatbelts and airbags.
3 years of experience in new occupant restraint product development using the StageGate methodology.
3 years of experience in leading cross-functional teams in a new product development environment.
Cross functional teams include sales, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, finance, or quality control or in combination.
Domestic and international travel up to 20%.
