The role of this position is to participate in a variety of activities.
Operates multiline telephone system.
Answers incoming calls in a warm and caring manner, determines the purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel for the entire office.
Review faxes for New Patient Referrals, assemble new patient packet to be mailed out.
Schedules appointments for New Patients over the phone.
Transfers calls or takes and delivers accurate messages, according to office policies, when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
Answers questions and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler and gives patient an appointment card.
Helps to Confirm appointments for the next day's schedule.
Maintains confidentiality of records.
Performs related duties as required.
Inform Management of all aspects of the office operations.
Additional tasks as requested by management.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Good hygiene.
Friendly demeanor.
Computer knowledge/typing.
Good verbal and written communication.
Good spelling.
Multitasking.
Multi-Line telephone system knowledge.
Prioritizing.
Organization.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Able to maintain confidentiality.
Able to be friendly, helpful and courteous to patients and on the phone.
Ability to identify specific parts of the medical record and identify where they should be located in the record.
Ability to understand and perform duties of position Able to complete a complex variety of tasks in an organized manner.
Thorough knowledge of policies and procedures relating to position.
Ability to look ahead and monitor the appointment schedule so that booking is adequate and not overbooked.
Able to treat patients and staff with consideration and respect.
