Performs a variety of non-teaching classroom support and student personal care services as directed under the supervision of an assigned teacher.
Responsible for conducting themselves in an appropriate manner, setting an example for students, parents, and coworkers by reflecting the Westfield Washington Schools Vision and Mission.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Meets mandated state/federal criteria (i.

, approved degree, completion of requisite higher education credit hours/courses, or acceptable score on an authorized professional standards test).
Meets all mandated health requirements.

Essential Functions:
The following are typical work responsibilities.

Work closely with the student services secretary/ administrators regarding students assigned to the Success room.
Supervise in-school suspension students, lunch detention students, or students placed in the center for other academic or behavioral reasons by the school administration.
Set the tone for learning within the room.
Reviews and reteaches social, emotional, and academic expectations to students using the provided resources.
Collaborate with teachers to ensure students are working on necessary assignments.
Coordinate with teachers to help students get caught up on any missing assignments while in the Learning Lab.
Work to form relationships with students in order to help them connect at school Create a positive environment for learning and supervision Keep students engaged while they are in attendance Prevent off-task behaviors by being present Communicate with administrators, counselors, teachers, and social worker Track Completion of assigned consequences and assignments Support attendance secretary as needed Provide 504 testing accommodations as needed Maintain and communicate organizational sign-up documents, such as testing accommodations Monitors grades and schedules check-ins for students placed on a return from suspension plan Any other duties as assigned by the administration Maintains confidentiality of all students Abilities Required:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
